Vocational training for young girls in an effective means of fighting poverty in the impoverished communities where Babawatoto Centre works. Tailoring class at Mburahati Babawatoto Community centre accommodates up to 12, girls from poor families prone to abuse and sexual exploitation.
To date More than 70 girls rescued from risky environment have graduated at the sewing class with more than 50% of them already engaging in self employment. Other vocation trainings carried at the centre includes carpentry, Light and Sound.
